WHAT TO EXPECT DURING TREATMENT

Treatment can be passive (you don’t have to do anything) or active (you may have to use slight muscular resistance)
I work with your body, not against it. I do not apply forceful “cracking” of the back or neck. All movement is applied gently

WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER TREATMENT

The effects of an osteopathic treatment don’t stop when you leave the clinic. They will continue up to a week as your body adjusts and integrates the changes that were made
You may feel some slight muscular discomfort for several days after treatment, as your body alignment readjusts
You may feel no effect right away, but later in the week realize that your symptoms have decreased or resolved

Hello! I am honoured to provide osteopathic manual therapy at several locations in Grey County.

I have past experience working in diverse medical settings including acute care nursing, patient assistance programs, medical education and pharmaceutical sales. When osteopathy personally provided me with relief of acute back pain and chronic knee pain, I knew that I wanted to join this profession and share the benefits with others.

I completed a rigorous 4 year program at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy that included over 4000 hours of hands on clinical training, graduating with a Master in Practice in Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences (M.OMSc).

I have come to learn that osteopathic manual treatment provides a safe therapy that is effective in preventative healthcare, acute issues or chronic conditions.

When I treat you, I become a detective searching for the root cause of your symptoms, making the connection between your symptoms and what I discover on your assessment.

Patient care is my calling and I am extremely passionate about the benefits of osteopathy as a non invasive, drug free therapy that is complementary to the care provided by your Medical Doctor or Nurse Practitioner.

As a certified member of Osteopathy Canada (OSTCAN) my treatments are widely recognized by the insurance industry.

I look forward to working together with you on your path to health and wellness.
